Tropical storm Harvey, which hit land on Friday last week and has since then caused billions of dollars in damage mainly through big floods in Texas and Louisiana, has also created a wave of help amongst breweries in the area.
Several major brewing groups, like Anheuser Busch and MillerCoors, but also craft brewer Oskar Blues, which operate breweries in the area have temporarily stopped regular production to can drinking water and sent it to victims. Curiously enough, abundant of rainwater and the floods have caused a scarcity in drinking water because tap water throughout the region has been contaminated.
Others like 8th Wonder brewery from Dallas/Texas, which is itself closed due to the flooding, could only help by rescuing people with its huge army truck.
