Denmark/Germany: Grundfos Acquires German Water Treatment Specialist EUWA

Danish global pump and water solutions company Grundfos has completed the acquisition of EUWA, a German water treatment specialist focused on the beverage industry. The strategic move aims to strengthen Grundfos' position in the global beverage sector as water challenges continue to grow. EUWA becomes part of Grundfos with immediate effect.

Based in Gärtringen, Germany, EUWA is a family-founded company established in 1965 that designs water treatment solutions for brewing and soft drink production. The company, which also operates an office in Singapore, has deployed systems in more than 110 countries worldwide. It is known for its technological expertise, covering the full clean water cycle and offering customized solutions to minimize water, chemical, and energy use. EUWA serves some of the world's most recognized beverage companies.

Tom Finke, Head of Water Treatment at Grundfos, noted that both companies share a family-founded background and a strong commitment to sustainability. He emphasized that EUWA's process know-how and hygienic design technology will enhance Grundfos' ability to solve complex clean water challenges for its customers. The acquisition builds on recent investments by Grundfos to expand its water treatment platform across different markets.

Michael Eumann, Director of EUWA, expressed confidence in the transition, highlighting that the company's legacy and solutions will now reach an even broader global customer base. Grundfos has stated that the immediate focus will be on a smooth integration process to ensure stability for customers, partners, and employees.
