Esau & Hueber, a supplier for services and functional modules and systems for the brewing and beverage industry with a strong background in yeast management and aeration technology industry based in Schrobenhausen, Germany and NDL Craft, a Qingdao-China-based manufacturer of brewhouse equipment and tanks with operations in Detroit, Michigan and Sheffield, England today announced a new strategic alliance.
“The alliance combines Esau & Hueber's expertise as a total solution provider within the brewing process and NDL Craft's strong manufacturing capabilities in China,” a today’s press statement explained the cooperation.
Esau & Hueber's Managing Director, Christoph Sedlaczek, was quoted as saying "This strategic alliance is the consequence of changes within the structure and demands of our customers in a world where global supply chains demand Best Price solutions on the supply side. Esau & Hueber was formed in 1977 by the merger of Klaus Esau Armaturen-Maschinen-Anlagen from Langenbach near Freising, Germany and the already in 1926 established company Hans Hueber from Munich, Germany. The company relocated in 1981 to its current location in Schrobenhausen, 70 km north-west of Munich. In 2002 and 2011 the company acquired the companies Datagraf, Heilbronn, and Nerb, Freising, respectively. Today, clients in the brewing and beverage sector can order all the technology and service they need from Esau & Hueber as a single source. For example, Scottish craft brewer BrewDog ordered a complete brewing process system, including a 200 hl brewhouse for their new brewery in Ohio, USA which opened in August 2017. However, most clients including international brewing groups like Carlsberg or Heineken order only in areas such as the cold section, yeast management or wort aeration.
In 2008, Esau & Hueber was acquired by BAUER Resources, a subsidiary of BAUER AG, also registered in Schrobenhausen. Bauer is a specialist for foundation engineering and designs, develops and manufactures rotary drilling rigs, diaphragm wall and ground improvement equipment. In addition it has diversified in recent years in many related areas.
For the first half year of 2019, total group revenues amounted to EUR 831.6 million , which was an increase of 5% year on year.
