Germany: Johannes T. Grobe assumes sales responsibility at KHS

Dr Johannes Thomas Grobe, since September 1st, 2015 Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing Paint and Final Assembly System at Dürr Systems is assuming the role as Chief Executive Manager Sales and Service at KHS. He is closing the gap which was left open when his predecessor Prof. E. h. Dr-Ing. Johann Grabenweger was released from his duties on April 15th last year (inside.beer, 23.4.2018). According to people close to the matter, Grobe will start in his new function in the second quarter of 2019.

Dr Grobe completed his doctorate in 1998 in computer science in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Before joining Dürr Systems, he worked in various roles at Bosch Rexroth, u. a. Vice President Sales for Industrial Management, Key Account Management and Application Development for Industrial Applications. Dr Grobe has extensive experience in managing product and technology development, innovation projects and production and manufacturing processes, most recently as Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth in India.

At KHS he will complete the team around Kai Acker who joined KHS as new Executive Management Board Chairman responsible for technology, development/production, and human resources effective October 15, 2018. (inside.beer, 17.7.2018)

KHS, based in Dortmund Germany, is according to their own statements one of the “leading manufacturers of filling and packaging systems for the beverage, food and non-food industries.” The comapny was established in 1993 from a merger involving Holstein & Kappert of Dortmund (founded in 1868) and Seitz-Werke (founded in 1887), which later became Seitz Enzinger Noll (SEN), Bad Kreuznach.

KHS operates five sites in Germany (Dortmund, Bad Kreuznach, Worms, Hamburg and Kleve) and six more abroad (Brazil, 2x USA, Mexico, India and China).  The company offers turnkey filling lines for glass and PET bottles, kegs, and cans for the beverage, food, and non-food industries, and process engineering in such areas as fermentation, filtering, blending, cleaning in place (CIP), deaeration, carbonization, stabilization and pasteurization.

With more than 5,000 employees, KHS, Dortmund is part of the fast-growing Technology Division of the Salzgitter Group. Salzgitter intends to further expand the Technology Division as part of the nso-called"Strategy 2021". In 2017 KHS achieved a turnover of around €1.137 billion. The companies in the KHS Group are 100% subsidiaries of the MDAX-listed Salzgitter AG corporation.
