Germany, Netherlands: Krones expands portfolio with two acquisitions

With two strategic acquisitions, Krones is reinforcing its position in process technology and filling and packaging equipment. In early July, the company acquired 60% of GHS Separationstechnik GmbH, based in Landshut, Germany. The specialist in decanter centrifuges and solid-liquid separation generated revenues of about EUR 10 million (USD 11.8 million) in 2024 with a workforce of 25. Its technology is applied in vegetable oils, juices, alternative food products, and PET recycling.

On 16 September, Krones completed the full takeover of Can Systems Worldwide (CSW), headquartered in Deventer, the Netherlands. The company develops machinery for handling can ends, including automatic feeding and unwinding systems. With 35 employees and revenues of approximately EUR 20 million (USD 23.6 million) in 2024, CSW serves international customers in the beer, beverage, and food industries. CSW will continue to operate independently, maintaining service and quality standards.

Both acquisitions strengthen Krones’ multi-local growth strategy, granting access to specialized technologies while broadening its offering for breweries and beverage producers worldwide.

At Drinktec 2025 in Munich, Krones additionally showcased its LinaFlex eSync pasteurizer for beverage cans, underlining the company’s drive toward innovation, automation, and sustainability.

Krones, headquartered in Neutraubling, employs more than 20,000 staff across 100 subsidiaries and recorded sales of EUR 5.3 billion in 2024.
