The world record for the number of beer steins carried over 40 meters (130ft) was broken this Sunday on Gillamoos Fair in Abensberg, a Bavarian beer festival which dates back to the 14th-century.
45-year-old German tax inspector Oliver Strümpfel carried 29 one liter beer mugs, weighing almost 70kg (154lbs) for 40 meters. He beat his own world record from 2014 with 4 beer steins more. In 2010 Strümpfel made it the first time to the top when he ousted an Australian, who held the world record up to that time.
