Switzerland: Nestlé Creates Standalone Business for Water and Premium Beverages

During its Capital Markets Day, Nestlé S.A., the world’s largest food and beverage company, announced the creation of a global standalone business for its water and premium beverages activities, effective January 1, 2025. The move aims to enhance focus, unlock growth opportunities, and strengthen the strategic positioning of this key segment within Nestlé's portfolio.

Standalone business led by Muriel Lienau
The standalone business will be led by Muriel Lienau, currently Head of Nestlé Waters Europe. She brings extensive expertise to this role, having successfully led Nestlé’s water operations in Europe and spearheaded numerous initiatives to enhance the business’s sustainability and market presence. Her leadership will ensure a seamless transition as the unit prepares for growth in 2025 and beyond.

Under Muriel Lienau’s leadership, the new business unit will evaluate its strategy to drive growth and innovation. This includes exploring partnership opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Nestlé’s premium water and beverage brands.
