Tilray Brands has initiated a strategic campaign, dubbed the "World’s Biggest Bar Tab," offering GBP 1 million worth of complimentary pints across its hospitality venues. This promotional push is part of a broader, high-stakes effort by the US-based company to rebuild the valuation of the BrewDog business it acquired earlier this year to its former peak of more than USD 1 billion.
The promotion allows fans wearing jerseys of the England, Scotland, or United States national teams to claim up to two free pints at participating BrewDog pubs and other Tilray Beer venues, including SweetWater Brewing, 10 Barrel Brewing, and Blue Point Brewing, should any of these teams reach the final of the ongoing international football tournament. The activation is scheduled for 20 July, immediately following the tournament final, and aims to capitalize on high-energy sports viewing occasions to drive in-venue traffic.
This campaign follows a challenging period for the Scottish craft brewer. In March 2026, Tilray Brands acquired the global brand, intellectual property, and key UK brewing operations of BrewDog for GBP 33 million (inside.beer, 3.3.2026). The deal followed the appointment of administrators, resulting in the closure of numerous underperforming sites and significant job losses. Since the acquisition, Tilray Brands has repeatedly stated its ambition to restore the BrewDog business to a valuation exceeding USD 1 billion.
To achieve this goal, the company is prioritizing the modernization of the existing brewpub estate—which had seen limited capital expenditure in recent years—and is actively seeking new distribution and strategic partners. According to Irwin D. Simon, Chairman and CEO of Tilray Brands, the company is focused on strengthening the BrewDog brand, accelerating innovation, and leveraging its global beverage infrastructure to drive long-term, cash-flow-positive growth by 2027. Tilray Brands has also filed an at-the-market equity program of up to USD 180 million to provide the financial flexibility required for these investments.
