USA: CBC hits new records

The annual Craft Brewers Conference and Brew Expo America, which has taken place this year for the first time in its 35 year-old history in music city Nashville, Tennessee, has hit again new records. With more than 14,000 attendees (13,300 last year, inside.beer, 13.4.2017),  the CBC has been the largest convention of its kind ever.

The Brew Expo America had 726 exhibitors, which is also an all-time high. The 5-year old Music City Center in the heart of the city was the ideal place to host an event of this size. Every day after the end of the official program attendees were able to walk from the venue to their hotels, to the main entertainment area of Nashville around Broadstreet and the many hospitalities spread across the city.

The biennial World Beer Cup, which had paused last year has also peaked with over 8200 beers (6,596 beers in 2016) competing for the medals. The awarding ceremony will take place tonight in Nashville and will conclude the event, which has set a new mark in the history of the American Brewers Association.
