USA: Dunkin’ Donuts presents beer for National Coffee Day

Dunkin’ Donuts, a Canton, Massachusetts based donut and coffeehouse chain with more than 12,000 restaurants in 36 countries has released its first beer in cooperation with Catawba Brewing Company from Morganton, North Carolina. Dunkin’ Punkin’ Brown Ale, a cold-brew, pumpkin flavored beer that uses Dunkin’s flavoring ingredients is a one-time offering with only 60 kegs of the beer being made. It is served starting September 29, National Coffee Day exclusively in Catawba Brewing’s four North Carolina tasting rooms (thereof three with its own brewery) in Charlotte, Morganton, and Asheville. One dollar from every pint sold will go to a local food bank.

“Craft coffee is at the core of our business so we like to brew up something for National Coffee Day that really delights our customers. That’s when we hatched an out-of-the-cup idea – combine craft coffee and craft beer — the perfect pair! To give it the local flare, we partnered with an established, family-owned brewery with a mission that caught our attention – create unique, small batch beers inspired by our communities and lifestyle,” said Meaghan Duff, Field Marketing Manager of North and South Carolina Dunkin’ Donuts.

“We’re excited to partner with a company like Dunkin’ Donuts, who’s best in class at what they do,” said Billy Pyatt, Catawba Brewing Co-Owner and CEO, who founded the brewery in 1999 together with his brother Scott. “And we love that it’s for such a good cause. Giving back to our local communities is a core mission of our brewery, so that makes this collaboration even more special.”
