After the cancellation of last year’s BrauBeviale fair in Nuremberg (inside.beer, 16.10.2020) and the postponement of the Drinktech fair in Munich to next year (inside.beer, 24.2.2021), the organizers of Brau Beviale have decided to launch a new format this year.
The newly designed Beviale Summit will take place for the first time on November 9 and 10, 2021 in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. From industry experts for industry experts - that is the motto of the first Beviale Summit 2021. Well-known speakers and industry insiders, current and relevant topics from the beverage world as well as from business, science and society, company presentations, the award ceremony of the European Beer Star and the “Night of the Winners” - all of this makes up the attractive concept of the high-quality industry event.
After the months of drought, the focus is on personal exchange and networking. The Beviale Summit is another member of the Beviale Family, the global network for the beverage industry of the NürnbergMesse Group. The Association of Private Breweries is co-organizing the event next autumn.
"We are more than happy to finally enable the beverage industry to meet again at a live event in this difficult time with the Beviale Summit," said Andrea Kalrait, Executive Director BrauBeviale and Beviale Family at NürnbergMesse. “The plans of the Bavarian state government to restart the trade fair in Bavaria from September 1, 2021 make us very optimistic. In numerous discussions with our customers and partners, the urgent need for a platform for the exchange was expressed. We are now taking this into account with the Beviale Summit.
The basis for the Beviale Summit is the general hygiene concept for conferences and congresses of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. "That is why we have to limit the number of participants this year, and the program will only be in German," says Kalrait, explaining the concept for the industry meeting in Nuremberg.
The focus of the Beviale Summit this year is on the beer industry, the heart of the BrauBeviale and Beviale Family. All beverage industries will be involved for future events.

The Beviale Summit starts on November 9th, 2021 with four parallel forums: The future workshop for drinks innovations presents ideas and concepts for drinks production. The proven EXPORT FORUM German Beverages illuminates the topic of export from different perspectives and on the basis of best practice reports. The “Young Talents Summit” was set up as part of the Beviale Summit especially for the topics of the young generation. Another forum will deal with the central issues of energy and sustainability.
Various discussion groups deal with specific problems and possible solutions, namely on the subject of reusable packaging, pool packaging and related packaging solutions, as well as aspects of digitization and the markets of the future.
