Germany: Chief Sales Officer to Leave KHS Group

At the helm of the KHS Group, an imminent change in leadership is anticipated. According to reliable sources reported in the German edition of INSIDE, there are indications that the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Dr. Johannes-Thomas Grobe, might not have his contract renewed beyond 2024.

It appears that headhunters have already been engaged to assist in finding a suitable replacement to oversee the sales and services division of the plant engineering firm, which achieved revenues of approximately 1.3 billion euros in 2022.

Grobe joined KHS in 2019 (inside.beer, 5.2.2019), taking over the position from Prof. Johann Grabenweger, who was released from his duties one year earlier (inside.beer, 23.4.2018). Prior to his tenure at KHS, Grobe held the role of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Dürr AG, a machinery and plant manufacturing company based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany.

Presently, the management team of the second-largest beverage industry plant engineering company, second only to Krones, includes CEO Kai Acker, CFO Martin Resch, HR Chief Beate Schäfer, and Grobe.
