The upcoming drinktec, the world’s leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, is already experiencing strong demand from exhibitors, with the event nearly fully booked. Scheduled to take place from 15 to 19 September 2025 at the Messe München, the event remains a key platform for innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in beverage production. This edition will also be the first drinktec in Munich since the merger of drinktec and BrauBeviale into the joint venture Yontex in 2023 (inside.beer, 27.6.2023).
A major attraction of drinktec is the opportunity to see complex production systems in action. Particularly in filling and packaging technology, the trade fair offers a broad range of solutions, from simple systems to high-tech machinery. Markus Kosak, Executive Director of the drinktec cluster, highlighted the uniqueness of the event: “There is no comparable opportunity worldwide to experience technical details at all performance levels.”
A central theme for 2025 will be sustainability and resource efficiency, with a strong focus on environmentally friendly production methods and circular economy concepts. Companies will showcase their latest advancements in reducing energy and water consumption, as well as innovative packaging solutions that minimize waste.
The high demand for exhibitor space underscores the importance of drinktec as the industry’s leading trade fair. Many key players in the beverage and liquid food sector have already confirmed their participation, ensuring a comprehensive display of cutting-edge technologies and market trends.
With its next edition in 2025, drinktec continues to strengthen Bavaria’s position as a global hub for the beverage industry. Exhibitors and visitors alike can look forward to a dynamic event that sets new benchmarks for innovation and sustainability. Meanwhile, BrauBeviale will continue to take place annually in Nuremberg, except in years when drinktec is held, like in 2025, when the focus shifts to Munich.
