UK: Damm Invests in Soft Drinks Maker Dalston's Soda Co

Spanish brewer Damm has acquired a stake in London-based soft drinks producer Dalston's Soda Co. This transaction marks the first time a non-beer partner joins the company's Accelerator Programme in the United Kingdom.

Through this partnership, the brewing group aims to support the production, distribution, and sales of the soft drink maker to accelerate its expansion across both the British on-trade and off-trade channels. Dalston's Soda is a B Corp-certified brand that produces beverages using real fruit, without added sugar, artificial sweeteners, or flavourings. By integrating a new beverage category into its established sales networks and production infrastructure, the brewer secures a cost-effective method to broaden its portfolio rather than building a new brand from scratch.

The investment follows a series of strategic moves by the Spanish company to strengthen its position in the British market and diversify its offerings beyond traditional beer categories. In October 2025, the company opened a GBP 70 million (USD 88 million) production facility, the Eagle Brewery, in Bedford, which features technologies for producing both beers and soft drinks (inside.beer, 20.10.2025). The Accelerator Programme was introduced as part of the company's broader strategy following this opening to support beverage start-ups and foster innovation in the region. Subsequently, in May 2026, the brewer acquired the Old Speckled Hen brand family from British pub retailer and brewer Greene King(inside.beer, 19.05.2026).
