Diageo to cut up to 400 jobs

As part of a three-year productivity programme, Diageo plans to cut every fourth job at the company’s London headquarter. According to the plan, up to 400 of around 1,500 jobs mainly in Park Royal will be axed. Diageo’s workforce in the UK amounts to 4,500 in total, with most of them employed in its packaging plants and own distilleries including Talisker, Dalwhinnie, Blair Athol and Cardhu.

The company revealed its 3-year programme last year with the aim of saving up to £500 million ($561m) covering its worldwide operations. Diageo employs 33,000 people on a global scale.
